Donald Trump, in new remarks today, again stressed that the US has really good talks with Iran, which he said started on Saturday night, and that there is a very good chance of a deal with the Islamic Republic.
Iran wants peace, the US president claimed, and said that the Islamic Republic has agreed not to acquire a nuclear weapon. Tehran wants a settlement, he said, noting that this time Iran is taking the negotiations seriously.
Discussions with Iran will determine whether a broader agreement can be reached, Trump noted, saying he would give a five-day time frame.
Iran has another chance to end its threats against America, he added.
Soon the world will be a much safer place, the White House occupant added.
The US president, after withdrawing his early morning ultimatum to Iran, stressed that he would order the US military to postpone any attacks on Iran's power plants and other energy infrastructure.
In successive posts and statements in the media today, Trump is talking about talks with the Islamic Republic, which could lead to an agreement to end the war.
However, so far, the Iranian side denies that talks are taking place with the US side.
