In a statement, the Central Board of Jewish Communities in Greece, demands that the new Health Minister of the Mitsotakis government apologise to the Jewish people for the statements he has made before the Greek Justice.
Specifically, in its statement, KISA notes that «in 2009 before the Greek Justice, the κ. Plevris made, among other things, the following report:
«.....And I will tell you about issues that have been troubling you: You were troubled by the report on Auschwitz. Which says «to keep the Auschwitz camp in good condition».
I take the extreme version. That the defendant over there means: «To keep the Auschwitz camp in good condition, because I want a National Socialist regime to come back at some point, Hitler to come back, take the Jews and put them in Auschwitz.». What encouragement is this? What stimulation? Can't someone believe and want to believe that «I want to exterminate someone?;».
At the same time, the KISE asks Ath. Plevris condemn intolerance, anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial, noting (and exposing once again the hypocritical communication tactics of Maximos) that it is the Prime Minister himself who has proclaimed these damning positions. «We expect from Mr Thanos Plevris the expression of apology to the Jewish people for this report and a clear condemnation of intolerance, anti-Semitism and Holocaust deniers, in line with the declared positions of the Greek Prime Minister», it says.
It is worth remembering that at the time when the statement was made, Mr.Plevris was the co-conspirator of two other top ministers of the Mitsotakis government, before New Democracy gradually «integrated» the far-right LAOS...
