The curtain opens today on the 4th PASOK regular congress. Around 5,000 delegates will meet these days in the Tae kwon do hall in a milder atmosphere than the pre-conference period after the compromise that seems to have been reached on key issues and especially on the explicit commitment that Harris Doukas was asking the leadership to refuse the possibility of post-election cooperation with the Southwest.
In his speech, Nikos Androulakis is expected to refer again to the need for political change with PASOK at the helm of the country with a plan diametrically opposed to that of the Southwest. The PASOK president will refer to the upcoming elections with the view that the only victory for the party is the first place and not a demographic rise.
The participation of people outside the party is also interesting, in the context of the expansion that Charilaou Trikoupis is attempting. Nicolas Farantouris, former MEP of SYRIZA, Athina Linou and Elias Mosialos will participate in thematic debates.
At the same time, the interim president of the New Left, Gabriel Sakellaridis, will be the only political leader to address the 4th regular congress.
