A special four-day workshop of artistic research and practice, entitled «The body as topos, the topos as body», organized this summer in the Peloponnese. The program Site-Specific Performance & Artist Residency will be conducted by the 9 to 12 July 2026 at Lake Kaiafa and is calling for an open call to creators from Greece and abroad.
Philosophy and the Landscape
This intensive workshop focuses on site-specific approaches and the close relationship between the human body and the site. Participants will have the opportunity to experiment and develop new, individual and collective artistic actions in direct dialogue with the natural environment.
The landscape of Lake Kaiafa is the ideal canvas for this exploration, as it is a protected area of the European network Natura 2000. The ecosystem harmoniously combines the waters of the lake, the dense pine forest, the impressive sand dunes and the sea shoreline, offering a unique field for artistic experimentation.
Who it is aimed at
The programme is open to:
- Artists and performers.
- Arts students.
- Researchers with a substantial interest in performance, the live art and interdisciplinary artistic practices.
The coordination and guidance of the workshop has been undertaken by the creators Dimitra Nikolopoulou and Eliza Soroga.
