The municipal faction «All Together, Kythira - Antikythera» criticizes the faction «Free Kythira» in a statement. The occasion was yesterday's publication of the reply of «Free Kythera» to questions from Kythera News on the serious allegations made by the original designer of the project, Mr. George Syrmalis (document «Vol 2»)(Note that Kythera.News has so far received responses only from the advisors of «Free Kythera»).
The press release accuses the minor opposition of systematic absence from the institutions of the municipality, political immaturity and lack of substantial work.

Non-existent and immature, you are not an opposition, you are not even a student faction.
The faction «Free Kythera» has confirmed with its last position the reality that it is politically non-existent and immature.
To cover this absence, you are constructing a narrative of «co-option». Let's be clear. There is no coalition. It is a lie that only serves your own inability to stand in your role.
Politics on the ground requires responsibility. There are principles, there are institutions and there is an obligation to be accountable, which you systematically fail to do.
In the two years you have been here, your political immaturity is evident and your absence is the rule, while your presence is the exception. It is a question of whether you have attended four times. You are absent from the meetings of the Municipal Committee, when you know very well that your attendance is not just a right, but a political obligation. We have never seen you either in person or actually intervening in the debate.
In the Municipal Councils your physical presence is almost non-existent. We don't even remember when you last set foot in the chamber. Your participation is limited to online presences and these without any real intervention.
Your choices and your overall attitude have already caused a strong division on the island and have led to a dangerous climate of internal civil war.
And one more thing. «God's» may not be judged by men, but the works that affect the country, the citizens and the public money are controlled. There are principles and there is accountability. You ought to understand that.
I call on you publicly to present at least one substantial action, one result, one real intervention as an opposition that has benefited the country. For example, our most recent action was our institutional, organised and methodical lobbying for the demand for a fixed advance.
Where have you been for two years now, as a minor opposition, and what exactly have you offered to benefit the country?;
As for your political leader, he is known to hold the position of Secretary of the City Council. However, the picture that emerges is that he has no substantial knowledge of and involvement with the record of City Council decisions, as it does not appear that he has been substantially involved in his subject matter. The same applies to his compliance with the obligation to collect signatures of councillors, which is his primary duty.
The truth is simple. You are absent from the control, absent from the process, absent from the substance.
The place deserves seriousness. Not noise.
