The bilateral agreements of the Greece have caused great irritation in the neighbour Turkey and this is proven by the new inflammatory statements of the Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu.
The Turkish politician threatened that his country would do «whatever is necessary for the interests of the nation and the country», speaking on Turkish state television. He even turned his arrows against his «friend», Nikos Dendias, saying that «not a day goes by without their foreign minister and others attacking Turkey».
The full statement follows:
«We are not a country that responds to Greece every day, we are not a complex country. We are a great country, we are the country, the state of a great nation. Not a day goes by without their foreign minister and the rest of them attacking Turkey. Look at the bilateral meetings, we went there and talked about Turkey, ‘Turkey is this way, Turkey is that way’. So when the talks didn't work, we went down to the field and took these kinds of steps that they can't get over their complexes. We are a strong country. We don't have time to fight with them every day. When necessary, we make the necessary moves and steps. No one can resist that. It is not only Greece, we are also doing what is necessary for the interests of the nation and our country, we are not talking nonsense, but we are doing actions.».
