The place is the landscape that composes it. And by landscape, we mean the amalgam of the natural contours and the people who live and create within it. It is the small or large voices that bear witness to its graces and proclaim them within and without. In all the ways of human expression.
One such way, of course, is tourism. And such a voice is voiced by the newly established association of tourist accommodation owners on the island of Kythera, CeriGo. A dynamic, interactive cell, which aims to promote the Kythera to the outside world, to strengthen the ties of its members and to leave its imprint on the events of the place in a constructive and beneficial way for all Kytherians.
The club even had the opportunity to introduce itself to the mayor Efstratios Harhalakis, through teleconference, held on Sunday, 21/02, which discussed issues related to the communication policy of the association, as well as the plan for tourism that the Municipality has drawn up for 2021.
The meeting, which was attended by the Councillor and Chairman of the Tourism Committee Mr. Vangelis Lourantos and the tourism promotion officer of the Municipality of Kythera, Panagiotis Gianniotis, the association had the opportunity to position itself on issues of the sector and to be informed about the framework that the Municipality has established for the promotion of Kythera.
At the meeting, reference was also made to the issues of the day, concerning the leasing of beaches and the Cave of Chitra from the Inland Commission, which, according to the club's post, the City did not want to expand on at this time, as it believes it covered through the press release released. Issues which the club will address in the next web meeting with EEPR.
In any case, CeriGo is entering the scene with vigour and promises, through actions and interventions, to remain committed to the common good, for the benefit of the place and its people.
