Press release issued by the municipal authority, informing about the web meeting which was held last Sunday, 21/02, the mayor Eustratios Charhalakis with the Board of Directors of the newly established Kythera Accommodation Association «CeriGO».
During the meeting, issues related to the communication policy of the association were discussed, as well as the plan for tourism that the Municipality has drawn up for 2021.
In the Press Release, it is noted that the meeting was held in a good atmosphere, without the slightest hint of the burning issue of recent days, which is none other than the a decision of the Committee on Internal Property for the lease of the Cave of Chitra and the apologetic style, through which the Municipality attempted, through communication to mitigate the reactions of the overwhelming majority of Cirigoths.

Online meeting with the Board of Directors of the Kythera Accommodation Association «CeriGO»
On Sunday 21/2/2021 the Mayor of Kythera Mr. Efstratios Harhalakis had an online meeting with the Board of Directors of the newly established Kythera Accommodation Association «CeriGO». Present at the meeting were the Councillor and President of the Tourism Committee Mr. Vangelis Lourantos and the Tourism Promotion Officer of the Municipality of Kythera Panagiotis Gianniotis.
The President of the Board of Directors of the Association, Mrs. Vanessa Raikou, informed the participants about the legalization process of the association, as well as the plan of the communication and promotion activities that will follow. She also requested the participation of the Association in the formulation of the tourism promotion study that the Municipality of Kythera is preparing with the company Altius, which was accepted.
Then the Mayor informed the members of the Board of Directors about the infrastructure projects that are being carried out or will be carried out soon on the island that are related to the tourism sector, as well as the promotional activities that the Municipality is planning for 2021, part of which is the creation of the new logo and the new forms of the Municipality of Kythera that will be presented next month. He also stressed once again how valuable is the participation of professionals in shaping the overall tourism plan of the Municipality since they are essentially the ambassadors of Kythera to the visitor of the island, while they are the first to receive positive or negative feedback.
The meeting took place in a very friendly and cooperative atmosphere which we believe will be maintained in the future.
