The list of products whose exports are being frozen by the Russian government until the end of 2022 in response to Western economic sanctions, a government committee announced, as reported by the Russian news agency TASS.
«The list includes technological, telecommunications, medical equipment, vehicles, agricultural machinery, electrical equipment – more than 200 species in total, including railway carriages and locomotives, containers, turbines, metal and stone processing machinery, screens, projectors, consoles, and panels,» the relevant announcement states.
«This measure is necessary to ensure stability in the Russian market,» the statement said. The decision was made in accordance with the presidential decree «on the application of specific economic measures in the field of external economic activity in order to ensure the security of the Russian Federation.».
According to the cabinet, «the export of these goods is temporarily restricted to all foreign countries, with the exception of the states of Eurasian Economic Union, Abkhazia, and South Ossetia».
«The latter will be subject to an export procedure based on a license. which will be approved by a separate government decree,» the statement explained. Licenses for the export of goods to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, Abkhazia, and South Ossetia will be issued by the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Natural Resources, the cabinet said.
