Expansion of the use of electronic billing devices POS in all sectors of business activity, promoted by the Ministry of Finance with the bill for the strengthening of electronic transactions, which will be submitted in the next period in the Parliament.
Mandatorily, and probably from 1 January 2022, all sectors that are currently excluded, such as taxis or kiosks, will be equipped with POS machines.
Currently, more than 110 professional activities are included in the relevant list, while with the mandatory installation of POS, all activities will be included.
A prerequisite for the project to proceed was the launch of the electronic books (my data) which premieres today, Friday, 03/09, and the interconnection of cash registers with POS systems. At the same time, the replacement of thousands of cash registers that will carry real-time information on the receipts that shops and businesses issue.
The same bill will also include the incentives that the Finance Ministry plans to give to taxpayers to boost electronic transactions, so that they will ask for proof, especially from industries that are high on the list of tax evasion. In particular, will deduct from the taxable income of each individual the 30% of the expenses incurred each year by electronic payments for services provided by 18 categories of self-employed persons where the level of electronic payments is low and therefore high tax evasion is expected.
