The next phase of the energy crisis in Europe is now upon us, as Volodymyr Zelensky said that almost a third of the country's power stations have been destroyed by Russian strikes since 10 October.
In front of new, secondary energy crisis in the EU, as the massive destruction of infrastructure in Ukraine by Russian strikes is expected to force Zelensky to request support from the EU energy grid. Crisis Monitor has been quick to point out Ukraine's already long-decaying and decaying electricity grid, as well as Putin's strategy to force Europe to increase its energy needs in order to support Ukraine in order to cause shocks and social backlash.

The role of Iran
The Europeans are examining the evidence to confirm when Iranian drones were delivered to Russia before imposing new sanctions against the country. Ukrainian officials have pointed to the use of Iranian-made drones in recent Russian attacks on Ukraine since mid-September.
