Meeting between Piraeus Mayor Yiannis Moralis and Attica Regional Governor Nikos Hardalias

The Mayor of Piraeus, Yiannis Moralis, met today with the Regional Governor of Attica, Nikos Hardalias, at the Regional Headquarters, with whom he discussed a number of issues of interest to the Municipality of Piraeus and the Region of Attica.

The discussion focused on issues related to improving the daily lives of citizens in the country's largest port, as well as ways to strengthen the already productive cooperation between the Region of Attica and the Municipality of Piraeus, in order to implement projects and actions in this direction as soon as possible.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Regional Governor of Piraeus, Stavroula Antonakou, as well as officials from the Region.

The Mayor of Piraeus, Yiannis Moralis, emphasized in his statement:
«Meetings with Regional Governor Nikos Hardalias are always interesting and productive. We discussed a number of important issues concerning our city and came to a common understanding. The Regional Governor has a long history of local government and has in-depth knowledge of the issues, as does Ms. Antonakou.
Our goal is to take significant action that will improve the daily lives and quality of life of citizens, which is our primary responsibility.
I would like to thank Mr. Hardalias and Ms. Antonakou for the productive meeting and the consistently constructive cooperation, which will soon yield positive results for the benefit of the city and the residents of Piraeus.

«Yiannis Moralis and I share a common culture of self-government, which helps us in our work for society,» said Attica Regional Governor Nikos Hardalias, emphasizing that through systematic and effective cooperation, «we are improving the daily lives of the citizens of Piraeus day by day.».
Mr. Hardalias pointed out that the Region of Attica has already proceeded with a rationalization regarding the implementation of programs for the Municipality of Piraeus. He emphasized that all necessary projects have been prioritized and will be implemented through a «specific roadmap» and within strict timelines. «In the coming weeks, we will be ready with the Mayor to say specific things. Because what matters is not what we say, but what we do, so that every citizen, in every corner of Piraeus, can see the effort we are making for their daily lives,» said Mr. Hardalias, thanking Ms. Antonakou for her contribution to this goal.
