One of the country's greatest composers, Loizos left a legacy of iconic songs performed by some of Greece's greatest singers.
Loizos, it doesn't matter so much whether one knew him in person or not. He's one of those creators who matters if you felt what he wrote, cried at what he whispered, got angry at what he reacted to, and still sing it. Loudly, with a voice.
In his twenty-year musical career he fought for the rights of the working class and wrote songs that entered the mouths of the common people and became slogans, collaborating with the lyricists Yannis Negreponis, Fonta Ladis, Manolis Raoulis, Dimitris Christodoulou and Lefteris Papadopoulos.
His songs, full of lyricism and tenderness, have been performed by big names such as Yannis Kalatzis, Giorgos Dallaras, Vassilis Papakonstantinou, Harris Alexiou, Yannis Poulopoulos, Yannis Parios, Maria Farantouri, Stelios Kazantzidis and Dimitra Galani.
His songs spoke for peace and equality, against injustice and social racism, making them relevant in the years to come, even today.
