Istanbul: The Greek hospital «Valouklis» goes up in flames»

A large fire broke out on Thursday afternoon at the Greek hospital «Valouklis» in Istanbul. The fire started in the wooden roof of the part of the hospital that houses the nursing home.

All elderly residents of the nursing home, as well as the staff, have been safely evacuated and there is no danger to their lives.

A large contingent of the Istanbul Fire Department has rushed to the scene, while ambulances and police patrol cars from surrounding municipalities have arrived at the hospital.
