The working dinner hosted by the Attica Islands Network for the Secretary of the Decentralized Administration of Attica, Mr. Grigoris Zafeiropoulos, the Deputy Regional Governor of the Islands, Mr. Giannis Voutsinas, the President of the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece (KEDE) – Mayor of Ampelokipoi-Menemeni, Mr. Lazaros Kyrizoglou, and the Vice President of the Piraeus Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Nikolaos Papageorgiou, on the evening of Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at the beautiful Istioploikos restaurant in Piraeus.
Among those attending the dinner were the Members of Parliament for Piraeus B and the Islands, Mr. Michael Livanos, Mr. Alexander Zerveas, Ms. Irene Kasimati, Member of Parliament for Piraeus and Islands and former Deputy Minister Mr. Konstantinos Katsafados, and Member of Parliament for Piraeus Mr. Nikolaos Abatielos. Also present were the Mayors of Poros, Mr. Georgios Koutouzis, Spetses, Ms. Eugenia Fragia, Hydra, Mr. Giorgos Koukoudakis, the President of PEDA – Mayor of Galatsi, Mr. Giorgos Markopoulos, Deputy Mayor of Piraeus Mr. Dimitris Karydis, Vice President of EDP Mr. Thanasis Lambropoulos, Vice President of the Civil Protection Committee of KEDE and President of SAP Mr. Vlasis Siomos.
The host of the evening was the Chairman of the Network's Board of Directors and Mayor of Kythira & Antikythira, Mr. Stratos Charhalakis. The discussions during the working dinner were productive and covered a wide range of topics, including institutional issues relating to municipal networks and development agencies.
On the sidelines of the dinner, the Company's annual pie cutting ceremony took place, with the President of the Network, Mr. Stratos Charhalakis, welcoming the attendees and thanking them for their presence, stating: “I sincerely wish everyone a creative, promising new year full of health, progress, and prosperity. We welcome the New Year with strength, optimism, new proposals, and important projects, so that we can create a better tomorrow for the islands of the Argosaronic Gulf, the region of Troizinia and Methana, and the remote islands of Kythira and Antikythira. In this spirit of growth and progress, we welcome 2024 and will proceed with this developmental orientation.
