N. Androulakis: «Sanctions against Turkey are now the only way forward.

«The penalties towards Turkey is now a one-way street and all European arms sales to Turkey must be stopped, such as the European Parliament has already asked you,» said the MEP KINAL Nikos Androulakis in the context of the EP plenary debate on the situation in the Cyprus and for Varosha, following the speech by EU foreign policy chief Josep Borel.

Androulakis also denounced the Bureau for giving the floor to MEP Lagos, saying: «This is a day of shame for the European Parliament, because you have given the floor to someone who has been convicted by the Greek justice system for his participation in a criminal organization that committed murders. In his speech before the plenary on Cyprus and Varosha, Mr Androulakis, speaking after the speech of Josep Borel, said: «At the October European Council you supported the adoption of a quote-unquote «positive agenda» on Turkey.
