An important distinction for Zakynthos, as for yet another year many of the island's beaches have been awarded the internationally recognised Blue Flag, confirming the high quality of the waters, the organisation and the environmental protection of the coasts.
The awarded beaches of Zakynthos are: Alykanas, Alykes, Aboula Tragaki, Gidaros, Gerakas, Kalamaki, Kalamaki 2, Katragaki / Eleon Grand Resort, Keri Lake, Banana Vasilikos, Bouka, Tsilivi and Psarou.
This new success further enhances the tourist profile of Zakynthos, one of the country's top summer destinations, with internationally renowned beaches and a unique natural environment.
At country level, Greece ranked 2nd in the world out of 51 countries, with 624 awarded beaches, 17 marinas and 17 tourist vessels in the Blue Flag 2026 programme.
