Travelstyle.gr praises Kythera and recommends the island for this summer

The website dedicates to Kythera the website travelstyle.gr, recommending our island for summer holidays.

We read in the article:

«The Kythera is known as the island of love, the island of the goddess Aphrodite. Exotic beaches, endless sandy beaches, crystal clear waters, majestic and imposing castles are some of the main things you will encounter on the island.

The unique serenity that Kythera exudes has become a pole of attraction even for yoga lovers. In Kythera you can relax, go cycling, scuba diving, kayaking, climbing, visit the 16th century Venetian fortress Kastello, and the wonderful caves hidden in every corner of the island. The cave of Mylopotamos (dedicated to Agia Sophia) is characteristic, with its impressive 13th century frescoes, stalactites and stalagmites creating a wonderful sight to every visitor. Also the Venetian castle of Mylopotamos has been there since 1565 and the view you enjoy as the sun sets is unforgettable. Moreover, the Venetian Castle of Chora, also known as “Fortseta”, is a trademark of Kythera, since it is located on the highest peak and at its entrance you can see the Venetian badge.

For the beaches, words are superfluous, since you don't know where to start. Paleopolis - Lake with its fantastic red and white fine pebbles, where once the famous baths of Aphrodite were located. Avlemonas one of the most famous beaches on the island with its waters creating a natural pool that gives you the feeling of being in the Cyclades. Melidoni with its sandy beach and fine red pebbles, the famous Kaladi, Diakofti, Flat sand, Komponada and many more beaches that will make you love this island.

Before you leave, don't forget to try the local varieties of wine, Tsirigotiko Ladopaximado, the internationally awarded honey of Kythera, the like of which you have never tasted before and all this from the hands of the locals who organize the famous Tsirigotiko festivals. Local dances, traditional feasts and wine festivals in an atmosphere of spiritual devotion where everyone becomes one company. There you will be treated to traditional sweets such as almonds and rosettes and the special “Fatourada” drink.

One thing is for sure, you will leave the island with a suitcase full of intense and magical memories.»
