A new incident of domestic violence occurred early Thursday afternoon in Almyros, when a woman in late pregnancy with her second child was beaten by her husband and then taken to Volos hospital.
There, the young woman was examined by a gynaecologist to determine the condition of both herself and the foetus she is carrying. At the same time, a home is being sought for the family's first-born child, who is only 17 months old. As reported by the website taxydromos.gr, the Service Prosecutor from Volos instructed the Hospital to find a way for the young child to be next to his mother, since there is no other close relative of the couple to take over his hospitality.
The child, according to the report of the website taxydromos.gr, he was transferred to a special room in the neonatal unit in order to be close to his mother. The child looks scared and the hospital staff is making every effort to make him feel better. The mother will remain under observation within the hospital for another 24 hours to ensure that both she and the fetus are not in further danger. The husband has been arrested.
