A father and his three sons retreat to an old mansion they have just inherited, along with their maid. Laziness, laxity, and finally sleep gradually erode the members of this symbolically defined bourgeois family, except for the maid, the only positive character in a kingdom of the living dead. A surreal allegory that was honored at the Locarno, Chicago, and Thessaloniki Film Festivals.
