Do you want to go to a festival in August? It will depend on how many people around you get vaccinated.
It seems that festivals are «victims» of the slow pace of vaccination, although the Aegean islands are making more progress than the rest of Greece.
However, even if you find yourself on one of the following islands, measures remain in place to prevent festivals from becoming hotspots for transmission.
According to Joint Ministerial Decision So, celebrations can take place under the following conditions:
In Regional Units where the vaccination rate of the population 14 days after the first dose exceeds 50%, based on the statistics posted on the epidemiological map on the website covid19.gov.gr/covid-map.
Implementation of public health measures (avoiding crowding, maintaining a distance of 1.5 meters, providing antiseptics on tables, maintaining distance between tables and chairs, and following hygiene rules) under the responsibility of the relevant municipal authority.
