On Sunday, April 2, we welcomed Spring, with a thrilling event of the «Renaissance» Conservatory in the hall of the Kytheraic Association in Chora Kythera. A concert-theatrical performance, which shocked young and old, dedicated to cinema.
Those of us who attended enjoyed highlights of Greek and foreign cinema, combined with music and singing -one could say a spectacular musical- by the students of the Conservatory.
The evening was particularly emotionally charged, as this year the older students are leaving Kythera for their studies, but it was also a very moving evening, as one part of it was dedicated to Mrs.Eleni Alagianni, doctor of the island and mother of the artist Nastazia Beikov, a collaborator of the Conservatory.
The teacher of the Conservatory, Mrs. Eleni Kokolaki, the Artistic Director Mr. Timos Lignos and their collaborators, Mrs. Angeliki Leontaraki and Mrs. Kyriaki Psarra, as well as the collaborating teachers deserve congratulations.
Special thanks to Mrs. Irini Pergamian, Mr. Jan Holland, Mr. Vangelis Hlenzos, Anastasia Eden, Vrettos Samios, Kallimachos Daponte, Vangelis Samios, Panagiotis Samios, Yannis Sklavos, Anna Friligou, Konstantinos Faceas.
The Conservatory «Anagenis» has been operating on the island of Kythera since 2007 and has contributed greatly to the cultural life of the residents, organizing concerts with theatrical events, developing the musical education of its students and offering mental uplift and progress in creativity, self-confidence, discipline and sociability to every child.
Personally, I will focus on Eleni Kokolaki, the great teacher, who, apart from her teaching contribution, is a valuable ally on the side of every parent, since she is often called upon to support every student, as a friend, advisor, but also as a great psychologist, listening seriously to the environment of every student, whether it is the family or the school environment. A huge asset in a teacher!
The students of the Conservatory will also present their progress and development in concerts that will take place during the summer months. We are waiting for you to meet our Conservatory in person, in Livadi Kythera. We stay tuned and wish good luck to all!
