The market is likely to open on March 16, the deputy finance minister said, among other things, Theo Skylakakis speaking on the show «MEGA Weekend» and for the financial support of businesses and workers, he stressed that «the amount available is finite and with this we will go». At the same time, he expressed the hope that it will not be necessary to stretch the rope of the economy any further with additional extensions.
Mr Skylakakis regarding the retail trade, argued that the part of the market that is open shows good numbers and the revenue picture is better than that of January and «therefore there is a possibility of a recovery of the economy quite dynamic», he concluded.
Asked whether the business tax might be abolished, he replied in the negative, explaining that it is a horizontal measure, which is not the time to change. On the fixed cost subsidy, he said that there will be an amount available for businesses selected for this measure based on a great many criteria. The measure will focus on job retention and for the evidence he said that a new tool is being prepared by the AADE, with which one will be able to scan a receipt and automatically go to the tax office.
