Infidelity is often a stumbling block that threatens to sink the ship of a lifelong relationship. But how do we get ourselves into it? The unclear definition by both components of what constitutes infidelity often brings imbalance to the equation. This also comes in conjunction with the lack of dialogue and common ground in terms of approaching the issue. On the other hand, it is the very friction that time brings to a relationship that opens small “backdoors” of escape for one or both parties, often unintentionally. The explanation, of course, may be simpler. Man by nature is fascinated by the new, the unexplored, the mystery.
