The environmental organisation iSea announced the start of clean-up actions in Greek seas and coasts from 8 to 14 October 2024, as part of the «Offer» programme, a collaboration with Procter & Gamble and AB Vassilopoulos. The actions will take place in the Peloponnese, Kythera and Crete and will include coastal clean-ups and information events.
Specifically, on 9 October, a clean-up will take place at Agia Pelagia beach in Kythera, while in Crete, events will follow in Chania and clean-ups will take place at beaches of significant ecological value, such as Nea Chora and Sitia.
The initiative, launched in 2018, has removed over 88 tonnes of litter from 278 clean-ups, attracting volunteers and raising public awareness of marine pollution. iSea continues its action to protect aquatic ecosystems and promote sustainability.
