Prayer to Our Lady of Myrtidiotissa

Having blessed the priest, we begin by reciting the Psalm RMB’ (142). O Lord, hear my prayer, join my prayer in thy truth, hear me in thy righteousness, and enter not into judgment with thy servant, that he that liveth may not be justified in thy sight.

That the enemy hath persecuted my soul, and hath brought my life to earth. Suffer me to lie in darkness as the dead of the ages, and let my spirit sing over me, and my heart be broken in me. I have remembered the days of old, I have meditated in all thy works, in the poems of thy hands. I have passed to Thee my hands, my soul as an earth unto Thee. Quickly hear me, O Lord, my spirit has grown. Turn not thy face from me, and let me confess to them that go down into the pit. Let him hear me in the morning and tell me of thy mercy, that I have hoped in thee. Know me, O Lord, the way in which I walk, that unto thee my soul shall rest. Deliver me from mine enemies, O Lord, that I may flee to Thee; teach me to do Thy will, that Thou art my God. Thy loving Spirit lead me in the path of righteousness; for thy name's sake, O Lord, live me. In thy righteousness deliver my soul from sorrow, and in thy mercy destroy my enemies. And thou shalt put away all that afflict my soul, because I am thy servant.

And straightway it is sung four times in obedience, after the relevant verses:
The LORD God, and he hath revealed himself, blessed is he that cometh in the name of the LORD.
Verse a. Confess to the Lord, and call upon his holy name.
The LORD God, and he hath revealed himself, blessed is he that cometh in the name of the LORD.
Verse b. The Gentiles have always prevailed against me, and I have strengthened them in the name of the LORD.
The LORD God, and he hath revealed himself, blessed is he that cometh in the name of the LORD.
Verse c. It is done by the Lord, and is marvelous in our eyes.
The LORD God, and he hath revealed himself, blessed is he that cometh in the name of the LORD.

These are the present Tropes.

The second of the Cypriots, the multitude of the Cypriots, the Virgin Mary, the Virgin Mary of the present Virgin Mary, of the tribulations and of all need; that the icon of the present Virgin Mary, Myrtidiotissa, may be hastened at all times.

Glory. This. And now. The same.
In the presence of your venerable Icon, there is a fountain of your graces, inexhaustible; for it brings healing to those who come to you in abundance, and it ceases diseases and dangers, and redeems those who exclude the whole soul, Myrtidian Daughter, for your grace.

The Nth (50) Psalm.
Have mercy on me, O God, according to thy great mercy, and according to the multitude of thy lovingkindness, blot out my iniquity. Wash me from my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. For my iniquity is mine, and my sin is mine for ever before me. Thou alone have I wrought sin and evil in Thy sight, as if Thou hadst been justified in Thy words, and overcome in Thy judgment. For I have been taken in iniquity, and in sins my mother hath judged me. Thou hast loved the truth, and hast revealed to me the secrets of thy wisdom. Thou hast cleansed me and cleansed me, washed me and whitened me for Hona. Thou hearest me rejoice and be glad, the bones of the humbled rejoice. Turn away thy face from my sins and blot out all my iniquities. God build in me a clean heart and establish in me a pure spirit. Cast me not away from thy face, and let not thy holy spirit depart from me. Give me the joy of thy salvation and uphold me in thy spirit of government. Teach the wicked thy ways, and let the wicked return unto thee. O God of blood, the God of my salvation, let my tongue rejoice in thy righteousness. O Lord, open my lips and let my mouth declare thy mercy. That if thou wilt make a sacrifice, thou shalt not make a burnt offering. Sacrifice to the spirit that is broken, and the heart that is broken and contrite, God will not redeem. In thy mercy, O Lord, in thy lovingkindness let Zion be blessed, and let the walls of Jerusalem be built. Then thou shalt bless the sacrifice of righteousness, sacrifice and burnt offerings. Then shall calves be raised upon Thy altar.

And it came to pass, when Elizabeth heard the embrace of Mary, that the babe was conceived in her womb; and Elizabeth was moved with the Holy Ghost, and lifted up a great voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. And whence came the mother of my Lord unto me? Behold, when the voice of thy salvation was heard in mine ears, the babe was conceived in my womb with joy.
