The acquisition of a dog can be an exciting and rewarding experience. But it also comes with an element of risk.
There are a few things to keep in mind if you are planning to add a dog to your family:
- Pet insurance. For extra protection, consider buying pet insurance and either taking out a separate policy for your dog or making the cover part of your home insurance.
- Food and supplies for dogs. You should always do your research before purchasing any type of food or supplies for your dog, including treats and toys. Do some comparison shopping, check reviews and make sure you get good value for money. Select dry dog food that you notice he likes and stick to it.
- Shelter for your dog. If you plan to get a dog, be sure to check out local shelters and rescue groups before you commit to buying a dog from a breeder or pet store. You don't have to buy from a breeder if you can't find what you need locally - but the more research you do beforehand, the better positioned you'll be in when it comes time to make those decisions.
- In addition, do not forget to create a cozy corner in your home to sleep. There are dog beds that define their sleep «territory» and make them feel safe.
We love dogs because they make us happy, they take care of our home, dogs are pets and good friends, we learn how to be good and loyal friends starting with the dog. You should play with your dog, teach him to obey.
Dogs are amazing, right? They're always there for us. When we are sad or lonely, they come to sit on our lap and lick our face. When we're feeling playful, they'll run into the house with us and play with us. And when we are sick or injured, they will curl up next to us on the couch and make sure we know they are there for us.
Dogs have been part of human life for tens of thousands of years, so long that scientists believe that dogs and humans may have evolved together.
