According to reports, the Prime Minister has decided not to include the Anna Michelle Asimakopoulou in the New Democracy Party's euro candidate list for the upcoming elections following the leak of e-mail data residents abroad which came into the possession of the MEP of the New Democracy.

So far the government neither confirms nor denies the information.

However, they recall that the Prime Minister, two days ago in his interview, when asked about it, had said that he was conducting his own investigation into the case.

However, according to the same information, Anna Michelle Asimakopoulou herself has not yet received a phone call from the Prime Minister.

It is recalled that a preliminary examination has been ordered for the case by the head of the Athens Prosecutor's Office, Antonis Eleftherianos

In the context of the preliminary examination, which was assigned to the prosecutor of the first instance, George Nouli, the offences of violation of the legislation on personal data and violation of official secrecy will be investigated.

The MEP herself had indicated from the very first moment that she is willing to cooperate with the competent authorities in whatever she is asked «to reveal the truth».
