According to diplomatic sources, the Greek embassy in Kiev and consulates general in Mariupol and in Odessa, are making every effort to remain in constant communication with Greek citizens who remain in Ukraine, which has been under Russian attack since early this morning.
As the same sources point out, the plan cannot be disclosed given the need to protect those who wish to leave. They also emphasize that this plan is being adjusted based on the situation on the ground and will be announced accordingly.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had issued two announcements (on February 14 and 22) strongly discouraging all travel throughout Ukraine, recommended that Greek citizens in the country leave immediately, and urged Greek citizens who wanted help leaving Ukraine to get in touch with the Greek authorities in Ukraine.
