Responsibilities both to the school and to the Municipality of Serres and the technicians who did the fatal work of replacing the heating system in the 9th Primary School, where an 11-year-old student died, are blamed by his parents in an angry statement.
In their statement, through their lawyers, the parents of the child refer to criminal negligence and demand full vindication of his memory as well as the immediate and exemplary punishment of all those responsible without exception.
The statement reads:
«The proverbial irresponsibility of those “responsible” for the school, all the involved agents of the Municipality of Serres and those who with criminal negligence were carrying out work during school hours for a problematic public project, resulted in the tragic incident of the loss of life of our child, Vassilios - Maximos. It is with deep sorrow that his family asks for full vindication of his memory and the immediate exemplary punishment of all those responsible without exception.
