Ο OPEC intends to issue a press release on the child benefit platform, which is expected to open in March 2021.
The first instalment for the new year is expected to be paid on 31/03/21, to those beneficiaries who will have submitted a new application between January and February 2021 and are entitled to the allowance based on the income declared in the last tax return, i.e. with the income of 2019.
However, with the submission of tax returns for the year 2020, which will take place in 2021, there will be recalculation the amount of child benefit to which the beneficiary is entitled.
Child benefit recipients can submit the A21 application form at https://www.idika.gr/epidomapaidiou.
The amounts
Ο identification of beneficiaries is based on income criteria as follows:
- First category up to EUR 6,000
- Second category 6.001-10.000 euros
- Third category 10.001- 15.000 euro
The amount of the allowance depends on the number of Dependent children and it concerns:
- For the first category €70 per month for the first dependent child, an additional €70 for the second and a further €140 per month for the third and any additional 3 children
- For the second category €42 per month for the first child, plus €42 for the second and €84 per month for the third and each dependent child
- For the third Category EUR 28 per month for the first child, an additional EUR 28 for the second and an additional EUR 56 for the third and any dependent child beyond the third.
All payment dates for 2021
In six bimonthly installments will pay this year the OPEKA the child allowance to the beneficiaries.
In detail, the dates of payment of the child allowance by OPEKA for 2021 are as follows:
• First installment:
The first bi-monthly instalment of the 2021 allowance is expected to be paid to beneficiaries on 31 March 2021. This payment is for the months of January and February and for all those who apply by mid-March.
• Second installment:
On 31 May 2021, the second bimonthly instalment of the 2021 allowance is expected to be paid to beneficiaries. This payment concerns the months of March and April.
- Third installment:
The third bimonthly instalment of the 2021 allowance is expected to be paid to beneficiaries on 31 July 2021. This payment concerns the months of May and June.
- Fourth dose:
The fourth bimonthly instalment of the 2021 allowance is expected to be paid to beneficiaries on 30 September 2021. This payment concerns the months of July and August.
- Fifth installment:
The fifth bimonthly instalment of the 2021 allowance is expected to be paid to beneficiaries on 30 November 2021. This payment concerns the months of September and October.
- Sixth installment:
Before the New Year, the last and sixth bimonthly instalment of the 2021 allowance is expected to be paid to the beneficiaries. This payment concerns the months of November - December.
Ο OPEC reminds all those concerned that in order to be granted Child Benefit, the application must be final and approved. An application which has been temporarily stored is considered not to be Submitted by and is not taken into account.
How it is calculated
- based on the dependent children declared in the 2020 A21
- and with the latest tax return.
Warning. Child benefit by OPEC the application must have been finally submitted and approved.
Application, which was cached, shall be deemed not to have been submitted and shall not be taken into account.
