Press release, which responds to the statements of the government spokesman, Yannis Economou on the agricultural subsidy of Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, issued the MP of Kastoria and former Deputy Minister of Rural Development and Food, Olympia Teligioridou.
In it, he states:
«Mr. Economou is lying when he states that regarding the agricultural subsidies that Mr. Mitsotakis receives: «There is no procedure for someone to request an exemption from these entitlements.».
Although Mr. Economou served as Deputy Minister of Rural Development, he probably has not yet learned that in order to receive a subsidy from OPEKEPE, one must apply to the OSSDE for the activation of historical rights. I would advise him to stop exposing himself further and not to lecture Mr Heliopoulos, who knows both historical rights and the history of the country's political fireplaces.
Obviously there is no procedure for an obligation to declare an OCR. The Prime Minister inherited the historic entitlements that he has been activating for 10 years without fail, as the government spokesman reveals, in order to get subsidies.
The deep-pocketed Prime Minister, if he respected the sweat of the farmers, could not apply for ODA to get farm subsidies. This, automatically after two years, without a corresponding application, would return his historical entitlements to the National Reserve and they could be distributed to a new full-time farmer.
However, Mr Mitsotakis of the 36 properties has learned to be fed by the Greek state, continuing the family's “right of inheritance” for the last 100 years.»
