«ALL TOGETHER, KYTHERA - ANTI-KYTHERA»
In an atmosphere of enthusiasm and optimism for victory in the upcoming local elections, the inauguration of the Election Centre of the All Together Kythira - Antikythira Combination took place in Livadi.
The mayoral candidate Mr. Zacharias Souris in his speech presented the main axes of the party's Programme. He strongly criticized the actions of the nine years of Mr. Harhalakis' term of office, pointing out his mistakes, failures and omissions. He deplored his inadequacy in the sensitive sector of water supply noting that for nine years he could not ensure adequacy and quality in water supply. Also in the field of sanitation there has been problematic management as we all saw this summer. Mr. Souris criticized the scandalous inaction in the field of road works (e.g. main road) and in the field of sewerage, (especially in Potamos and Agia Pelagia), while he pledged that the execution of the projects will be decided in Kythera -according to the real needs of our islands- and not by the Region as has been the case so far.
Mr.Souris stressed that the Combination's Program is realistic, feasible and much more economical and functional than the pharaonic projects promised by Mr.Harhalakis. The projects to be implemented by the All Together Combination successfully address the chronic problems of our islands, without burdening the cost of living of the residents. At the same time they provide sustainable answers to the challenges of the future. They dramatically improve their quality of life, offer prospects for our place and enhance the income of our fellow citizens, as they will attract more and better quality tourism.
The mayoral candidate emphasized that there will be absolute transparency in the management of the last Euro, while showing respect for the effort of each citizen and the desire of all to know our islands the real change in the style and ethos of local government. He did not fail to emphasise that arrogance and authoritarianism, familiar characteristics of Mr. Harhalakis, will become definitive and irreversible elements of a bad past.
Mr.Souris concluded his speech by declaring his confidence in the victory and called on all citizens to rally to turn the country around and to give our islands a truly new day. After the completion of the event, the mayoral candidate spoke with the assembled and thanked them warmly for the confidence they show in him and the candidates of his combination.
