New subsidy programme of Labour by OAED for 7.000 unemployed 30 years old and over in Regions of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Western Greece, Epirus, Thessaly and Central Macedonia. In the context of the enhanced active employment policies of the OAED, on Friday, 29 January the applications for the new creation programme 7,000 new jobs for unemployed 30 years old and above in the Less Developed Regions of the country (Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Western Greece, Epirus, Thessaly and Central Macedonia), with emphasis on long-term unemployed and unemployed 50 years old and above.
The program is addressed to private businesses, the duration of subsidy it is 12 months and the amounts of the monthly salary and social security contributions for the recruitment of the unemployed beneficiaries in new full-time posts are as follows:
- 473 € for unemployed persons up to 49 years old
- 568 € for unemployed persons aged 50 and over
- 615 € for the long-term unemployed
- 710 € for the long-term unemployed aged 50 and over
Purpose of the action is the promotion of employment, especially for the long-term unemployed and them unemployed older people whose permanent unemployment makes it difficult for them to reintegrate into the labour market.
The first cycle of the programme concerns 5,000 jobs and the next round will be launched 4 months after the closing date of the first round, until the total budget of 44.000.000 euro and is co-financed by the European Social Fund, through the Operational Programme «Human Resources Development, Education and Lifelong Learning 2014-2020».
Please note that there is no employment commitment after the end of the programme of the OAED and provides for simplified and faster integration and repayment procedures. The subsidy for salary and non-salary costs shall include the corresponding Christmas gifts and Easter and leave allowances.
