A few hours before the start of the Leuven meeting, Miltos Tendoglou learned that his competition in Torun was cancelled, where he jumped 8.40m, the world's best performance, due to improper shoes.
Somehow the best performance in the world went to Jeremiah Davis, who on February 10 did 8.28m at a meeting in the USA.
But this lasted for a few hours after Miltos Tendoglou showed that he is in a terrible condition and confirmed it in France. On his very first jump he landed 8.32m and took back the best performance in the world.
But it did not stop there. On the second jump he went five centimeters further, clearing 8.37 and further improved his best performance so far this season.
His third jump was measured at 8.34m. Miltos Tendoglou, who always places bets with himself, did not give up and continued as vigorously. In fact, on his fourth jump he landed at 8.41m, further improving his performance.
He didn't make a fifth and sixth jump, since he didn't need to. Sophomore Tobias Montler had a best jump of 8.06m, while no one else jumped over 8m.
