Maria Karistianou raises serious questions regarding the investigation of the crime in Tempi by the Parliament.
«Why does PASOK's proposal for a preliminary investigation only concern Mr. Triantopoulos and not all the politicians who have been charged?» asks the mother who has become a symbol of the fight for justice.
A post on X, where he states that they were left speechless because «of the many lawsuits filed against ministers and the prime minister, the PASOK proposal for a preliminary investigation into only INDIVIDUAL acts by Mr. Triantopoulos is being discussed in Parliament, and even then only for the MISDEMEANOR of breach of duty!»
He also informs that he has sent a letter to the Speaker of the House and concludes that «the Speaker of the House, honoring the principles of a true rule of law, should have responded publicly to our simple and clear questions. This is what the Speaker of the House would do if he were not AFRAID to respond and did not have something or many things to hide.».
Maria Karistianou's post:
«Letter to the Speaker of the House.
Since we have seen that there is no bottom to the barrel of our disgrace, we have been forced to send a letter to the Speaker of the House today, requesting that it be communicated to all Members of Parliament.
Because today we were left speechless when, of the many lawsuits filed against ministers and the prime minister, the PASOK proposal for a preliminary investigation into only INDIVIDUAL acts by Mr. Triantopoulos is being discussed in Parliament, and even then only for the MISDEMEANOR of breach of duty!
And ALL members of the Greek Parliament are being questioned, especially the PASOK MPs who made such a limited and weakened proposal for the establishment of a preliminary investigation committee:
(a) Why does PASOK's proposal for a preliminary investigation only concern Mr. Triantopoulos and not all the politicians who have been accused?;
(b) Why does the proposal for a preliminary investigation concern only the misdemeanor of breach of duty and not the other felonies and misdemeanors for which all politicians, the Prime Minister, Ministers, and Deputy Ministers have been indicted?;
(c) What is the reason for such a concise and elaborately worded PASOK Preliminary Investigation Recommendation Proposal?;
(d) Why do the other members of parliament not point this out, and thus, through their inaction and silence, allow the above carefully orchestrated “truncated” process to unfold before the eyes of the world, without a genuine investigation of ALL the accused political figures and ALL the crimes (felonies and misdemeanors) they are alleged to have committed?;
(e) Why, then, are all the complaints that have reached Parliament being ignored? Or perhaps, after so many months, they have not yet arrived and have therefore been buried without delay?;
(f) Could this ultimately be the reason why the Speaker of the House has not responded to the clear questions we posed to him on February 3, 2025, regarding the progress of the criminal cases against politicians, and to which he persistently refuses to respond?;
(g) Where is the respect for the sacred institutional qualities that all respondents (Members of Parliament and the President) possess?;
(h) If everything were transparent and clear, as it should be, the Speaker of the House, honoring the principles of a true rule of law, should have responded publicly to our simple and clear questions.
This is what the Speaker of the House would do, someone who is not afraid to respond and has nothing or very little to hide.

Extrajudicial letter to the Speaker of the House.
Since we have seen that there is no bottom to the barrel of our disgrace, we have been forced to send a letter to the Speaker of the House today, requesting that it be communicated to all Members of Parliament.
