Press release on the occasion of its participation in the pan-European celebration «Giostra di Zante», held on the weekend 10/06 - 12/06 in Zakynthos, issued by the Kythira Association of Athens.

«The Guystra of Zakynthos, a Pan-European celebration of great cultural importance, a medieval equestrian event that brings our peoples together, took place in Zakynthos during the period 10/6-12/6/2022.
Ο Kythira Association of Athens, as an official guest, participated in the events with its dance section, which won the impressions with its smile and its tsirigo temperament. Our dances delighted the audience and those who saw us and met us during these days, we think they found the Kythera.
We would like to thank and congratulate the Board of Directors of
«Giostra di Zante» for this great effort, for the invitation and the warm hospitality during the whole stay of our delegation in Zakynthos. We were given the opportunity to meet the members of other delegations, Greek (Ionian) and foreign (Sultana, San Marino, Czech Republic, Croatia) and to open a path for future relations and cooperation.
Finally, we want to congratulate and thank the children of our dance group and their teacher Mr. Sakis Katsoulis for their excellent performance, their willingness, enthusiasm, but above all their love for our island.
Kythera is always present in all the events and activities of the Ionian Islands, because we are connected by a common history, tradition and culture.
