The Cypher opened their doors in Livadi Kythera (next to Drakakis tours) on Monday 15 April and welcome the Easter period with great joy and anticipation.
A project of our compatriot Stamatina Tamvakis who, after the blog of the same name, the idea of Cypher acquires a wonderful natural space in the centre of Livadi. We wish our Stamatina good business and read below what she has to tell us about her activity.
«Joy that finally another dream of mine is coming true and anticipation for the reunion of our friends and the creation of new ones.
Kythidora will have a dual status, since their etymology is similar. They were created from the words Kythera and gifts, the gifts of Kythera, crowning their queen the emerging Aphrodite of Kythera, primarily offering our friends, through the physical store, suggestions for gifts for young and old, with emphasis on handmade items from Greece and around the world, often leaving an ecological and social footprint.
Sensitive to environmental protection issues, I try to minimize the use of plastic by choosing companies with similar products and using similar packaging. I will follow the same philosophy with custom made product lines, that is, unique lines created just for me and for you.
One of them is my new collection of clothes and accessories - made of organic cotton - of our Aphrodite discovering Kythera, «Explore Kythera» as well as ranges of herbal cosmetics and other products from small Greek family businesses.
Secondly, Kythidora will be on the side of those who wish to promote their businesses and services in Kythera, through personalized promotion and advertising, with photographic material and articles on the Kythidora website (kythidora.gr) and social networks.
Cythera did not come to compete with anyone, on the contrary, they came to add their support to the already existing businesses, as you have known me for so many years.
Clearly, I am open to any kind of cooperation proposal in order to support the local products of our island, as it will be a great pleasure for me to involve those who wish to participate in my small family that hopes to become even bigger.
I tried with a lot of love to fit in 30sqm a diverse sample of my partners, which of course is not easy, so some partnerships are on hold, so it is logical and logical that there will be a constant addition and renewal in our products. After all, it is my desire that there is not a final form in the store, but a constant interactivity and product reconfiguration, depending on the seasonality.
At the same time there will be a small photo exhibition with my own landscapes of Kythera which will be renewed and changed according to the demand of our visitors.
The official opening of the store will take place, God willing and weather permitting, during the summer period.
