«The film was shot in the summer of 2022, in Anthousa, a few days before the fire that broke out in the area of Penteli and Anthousa etc. Unfortunately, this green landscape - full of vitality shown in the shots, has now been replaced by the remains of a fiery conflagration.
This fact, although it does not derive from the script, gives the film a symbolism. One could say that what is left in the forest after a fire is similar to what happens to humans when they lose their memory and clarity. At the same time, however, just as it is useless for a mountain climber to be indignant about a burned forest, it is meaningless for someone to be upset with a patient suffering from Alzheimer's or another form of dementia.
It is a disease that has no cure. The sufferer creates a reality of his own and people around him, it is pointless to try to correct it. The best response is characterized by patience, understanding and acceptance. As difficult as it is to maintain this equanimity, it is even more necessary in order not to cause further upset and disturbance to the patient.» - Christiane Nirka
