Olga Kefalogianni is back in the spotlight. After the uproar caused by the purchase of two Persian rugs worth €17,890 by Despina Moiraki, the Minister of Tourism appears to have spent €55,973 on gifts ahead of her visit to Japan and meeting with Princess Kako.
Specifically, the gifts received by the Minister of Tourism during her trip to Japan are as follows:
15 customary gifts (olive branches) worth €1,333
4 customary gifts worth €300:
1 symbolic gift of courtesy to be offered to Princess Kako of Japan, in the amount of €166.5.
Also available the sum of €27,760.00 for the transport of 70 exhibits from the McCabe Photography Exhibition and the shipment of 550 copies of Nikos Kazantzakis« book, entitled »Travels in Japan.".
