Around €105.5 million to around 171,000 beneficiaries will be paid by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, e-EFKA and OAED during the week of July 19-23, according to a statement by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.
Specifically:
1. The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs will proceed today, Monday 19 July, as already announced, with the following payments:
- €40 million will be paid to 84,692 beneficiaries as special purpose compensation (for the month of May) to workers with mandatory re-employment rights in the tourism sector, following the submission of unilateral responsible declarations.
- €6.4 million will be paid to 25,330 workers covered by the Mechanism SYN-COOP for the payment of the financial support for short-term work for June.
- EUR 762,694 will be paid to 2,181 beneficiaries for the payment of special purpose compensation for the suspensions of employment contracts for the months of March and April 2021, following the submission of supplementary declarations.
2. From e-EFKA the following payments will be made in the period 19-23 July, as part of the institution's regular payments:
- €12.5 million will be paid to 22 571 beneficiaries for cash benefits (maternity, pregnancy, sickness, accident and funeral expenses).
- €14.5 million will be paid to 700 beneficiaries following the adoption of one-off decisions.
- €25,500 will be paid to 43 beneficiaries for inheritance benefits supplementary pension.
3. From the OAED the following payments will be made:
- €10 million to 25,000 beneficiaries for unemployment and other benefits.
- €20 million to 8 800 beneficiaries under the subsidised employment programmes.
- €800,000 to 700 mothers for subsidised maternity leave.
- €500,000 million for public benefit programmes (payment of contributions to institutions).
For the coming week there are no scheduled payments from the OPEC.
