In the subsidy of gyms and of playgrounds proceeds directly to the Ministry of Development and Investment and in a second year to support the lawyers.
The restart of economic activity is increasingly increasing the needs of businesses for liquidity, so the ministry is proceeding to 28-30 May in the programme of financial assistance for gyms and playgrounds and the second ten days of June the programme financial assistance for the digital upgrading of lawyers.
This was revealed in a statement by the Minister of Development and Investment, Mr. Adonis Georgiades, noting: «The Ministry of Development & Investment, as I have personally committed since the beginning of this crisis, is doing everything it can to make the best and fastest possible use of European resources to support all sectors of the Greek economy affected by the unprecedented pandemic.
I announce that on 28-30 May the financial support programme for gyms and playgrounds is launched, with a budget of €20 million. In the second half of June, the financial support programme for the digital upgrading of lawyers will be launched, with a budget of €16 million.
The programme for the restaurant sector starts tomorrow
These programmes follow on from the major programme of focus where starts tomorrow, Friday 14 May, and will be followed by the tourism programme that we will announce in a few days. As I have said from the outset, we will leave no one behind.
I want to congratulate the services of the NSRF and especially the Special Secretary, Mr.Zervos and the Special Secretary, Ms.Dandolou as in four months, together with the Secretary General, Mr.Skalkos and the Deputy Minister, Mr.Tsakiris, we have achieved absorption as much as SYRIZA had in four years of government.
For his part, the Deputy Minister of Development & Investment, Mr. Yannis Tsakiris reports: «In the overall strategy to restart the economy after the pandemic of Covid 19, the targeted support of specific sectors that have been severely affected is an immediate priority of the Ministry of Development and Investment. With NSRF resources we are strengthening the sectors of Gyms and Playgrounds so that they can meet the first basic needs during their reopening. At the same time, we are also supporting lawyers to upgrade the necessary infrastructure of their offices to meet the conditions of providing their services through videoconferencing and modern technological tools.».
