The president of the Movement for Change criticized the President of the Greek government, Fofi Gennimata, from the floor of the Parliament, to the government for the devastating fires, while directly attributing political responsibility to the Prime Minister personally, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, for the weaknesses displayed by the state apparatus.
«Your so-called staff state has failed and collapsed. You have failed in the safety of citizens. It is not a responsible attitude to «save people and not care about the destruction of crops, property and forest land, »said Fofi Gennimata.
The President of the KINAL, addressing Kyriakos Mitsotakis, spoke of a fake apology that «is not convincing. Remove the responsible ministers,» he said. He added that «along with the burnt ones, political decency was lost».
Fofi Gennimata, citing a statement by Mr Mitsotakis, after the Eye, in which it asked Mr. Tsipras to assume and impute political responsibility, he stressed to the Prime Minister: «I agree with you. I agree with you. Because I don't see any action», accusing Mitsotakis of indifference by setting the bar of comparison with SYRIZA. For the next day regarding the reconstruction of the burnt areas and their social and economic reconstruction, the president of the Kinal party called for consultation with dialogue between the political forces in Parliament and not direct assignments to private companies.

Gennimata reacted strongly to the accusations that the KINAL has not appointed representatives to the Committee for the elaboration of a law on the climate change, which has been decided since May. He recalled that it was a proposal of the Movement for Change, while referring to George Papandreou and the PASOK governments, he argued that with their own initiatives they launched policies to protect the environment and tackle climate change in which the Southwest disagreed.
