Ένα ασυνήθιστο επεισόδιο για… γιορτινές μέρες έλαβε χώρα στην κοπή πίτας της Μητρόπολης Πειραιά. Εκεί παρόντες ήταν, μεταξύ άλλων, η Δόμνα Μιχαηλίδου και ο πρόεδρος της ΕΣΕΕ Βασίλης Κορκίδης, ο οποίος όταν είδε την υφυπουργό τής άσκησε δριμεία κριτική για την… κριτική που ασκεί στο «Χαμόγελο του Παιδιού». Ως γνωστόν, η υφυπουργός έχει ανοίξει σκληρό πόλεμο με τη δομή και ο πρόεδρος της ΕΣΕΕ την κάλεσε να μην το συνεχίσει, λέγοντας πως το «Χαμόγελο» κάνει κοινωνικό έργο. Πολλοί βέβαια βλέπουν ως αιτία του επεισοδίου τις επικείμενες εκλογές, καθώς η Δόμνα είναι αντίπαλος με τον νυν βουλευτή και γαμπρό του Κορκίδη, τον Γιάννη Μελά. Το επεισόδιο πάντως έληξε σύντομα και τουλάχιστον η Μιχαηλίδου έφυγε με χαμόγελο, αφού της έτυχε το φλουρί αμέσως μετά.
