80 euros is the subsidy for the fuel pass for cars, as announced by the Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis during his introductory statement to the cabinet.
As the Prime Minister explained, this allowance - which he called Fuel Pass 2 - will rise to 80 euros from 45 euros and will have a time horizon of three months, i.e. July, the August and September.
«For motorcycles from 35 to 60 euros, while on our islands, where we know they have a bigger problem, the subsidy will be even higher, 100 euros.».
«We are reducing the increases by 44 cents per litre for 180 litres of fuel, for basic travel,» Mitsotakis said.
This aid will benefit more than 3.000.000 drivers.
The baton will be taken at 15:00 by the Minister of Economy, Christos Staikouras, who will present the details of the updated Version of Fuel Passport.
According to what the Prime Minister said, the total subsidies of the state for fuel alone reach 600 million euros and 580 euros in fact.
«And of course the direct and indirect aid against energy price increases now amounts to €8 billion. These are amounts that have resulted from our prudent economic management, but also from the high growth rates that the Greek economy has achieved and continues to achieve,» the Prime Minister said.
