I have always detested «coffee shop talk», so to speak.
Because they start out with a grain of truth, but almost always end up as a «broken phone».
Of course, sometimes they do have their uses. ‘Like, if you want to get your message across, you let the gossip leak out in the coffee shop and in no time it will find its recipient. A clever way, but effective.
So let's go and play ball since most of us are fond of these words.
Say I am lucky enough to live in a large house, specially designed to accommodate many people. Say I live with two professional cooks equipped with knives that sharpen even in their sleep and accurately slice through even the toughest dinosaur skin that could exist on earth. Say another roommate of mine if he applies all the techniques he knows in case you decide to attack him, sadly your future attempts at a career as an able-bodied mannequin on the international catwalks will fail miserably. Say two more of my roommates, one of whom lays with a shotgun next to him and outshoots even William Tell in marksmanship and the other has a special sonar device implanted in his skull that instructs him to execute anything that moves. In addition, say also that my specially trained yard consists of a 2-in-1 dog and cat, a unique animal in the history of mankind with laser beams in its eyes that hypnotize any adventurer.
I'm not discussing it for me. I hardly ever sleep and attend survival seminars 24 hours a day in unimaginable conditions.
This house is of course equipped with cameras that you wouldn't even know existed and especially where they exist.
Note that we are not so naive as to keep money and valuables at home.
Let's go to the latest thefts that have occurred on the island.
I realize that most of us do not have these great skills. An unsuspecting, lonely and unprotected elderly woman like the one in the last theft that occurred may be sleeping in a house.
So I would like the following question to be answered. Is it true that when the old lady called the station at night, she was told that they could not help her until the morning because there is only one police officer covering the evening shift and he is unable to leave the station?;
What protocol currently protects us from the burglaries of the last few days?;
And what protocol will protect us when some of us take the law into our own hands?;
The café is created when no immediate solutions to citizens' problems are available and practicable.
So here are the questions that arise in the coffee shops that have been set up.
The conclusions are yours.
