The health minister of our neighbouring country said that within a week, his country is expected to receive 70,000 doses of vaccine against coronavirus of which 20,000 from Greece.
Venko Filiptse said that in all likelihood these vaccines will be of AstraZeneca.
The remaining 50,000 instalments will be sent from Bulgaria. We note that the AstraZeneca vaccine is administered in North Macedonia only to people over 60 years old.
According to an update from the Ministry of Health of the neighbouring country, so far, 315,781 citizens have received the first dose of the vaccine, while 81,273 citizens have received the second dose. The reason for this low percentage is due to the delay with which vaccination started in North Macedonia and the lack of vaccines in the country.
