In Athens, some circles insist on approaching the hard core of the Greek-Turkish confrontation, as a matter of exhausting or that much more will remain so forever, in the sphere of technical diplomatic management and thus, it can ensure that the political elite can resort to controversial communication acrobatics, with the Greek society as the final recipient and our critical national priorities as the victim.…
In essence refuse to accept the strategic character that this confrontation objectively assumes and carefully disconnect it from the critical stakes related to the geopolitical status of our country and the itself strategic survival of Hellenism as a whole.
Unfortunately it is not a marginal perception which is merely bordering on picturesque and which as such could be treated with any tolerance in an environment of political pluralism. This is a patently damaging approach, which is fully in line with the logic of defeatism, compromise and phobic syndromes. All of the above, constitute sides of the same hollow coin, which complement each other and make up a dangerous system of perceptions which is the dominant systems strategic thinking of the country. A strategic thought...
- Unable and unwilling to demonstrate ways to stop the Turkish lying operation and misrepresentation of reality.
- Incompetent and unwilling to contrast the power of historical Laws to the ruthless and unhistorical flip-flopping.
Incompetent and especially unwilling manage a comprehensive agenda of diplomatic, political and operational - in terms of staff planning in principle - counter-attack, which will make the impudent neighbour apologetic and, above all, insecure against an emancipated and unpredictable Greece.
And, of course, incompetent and unwilling adopt the idea of an integrated Archipelagic Defence doctrine, capable of stopping the Turkish revisionist dream and which will form the hard core of an overall new National Defence Doctrine which will embody as dominant the idea of the First Overwhelming Strategic Blow, in the operational planning of a Greece which is signalling in every direction that the games are over and that whoever is abusing Hellenism will be called upon to pay a heavy cost..
Turkish Diplomacy is facilitated without limit as long as the dominant Greek perception remains trapped in this counterproductive and dead-end logic. Facilitated by the consolidation and adaptation of its aggressive physiognomy. Facilitated by its pairing with experimental initiatives and actions on the field, which accumulate new artefacts and dramatically modify the terms of the game. Facilitated by the promotion of the revisionist agenda which has been adopted by the entire political class of the neighbouring country and which is systematically promoted in all international fora. Facilitated by finally, the implementation of even the operational planning, which has been irrevocably activated by the Turkish political-military leadership and its escalation in practice, combines, not only the traditional methods of challenging and projecting power against our country in a grossly provocative manner, but is systematically and methodically extended to hybrid operations which are now being carried out within the Greek territory, but unfortunately no one is seriously addressing the need to put an end to this unacceptable situation.
The aggressive upgrading of this multifaceted operational action has been rapid especially after the chain of provocations in Evros (arrest of two Greek soldiers and unprecedented instrumentalization of the migration issue) which clearly foreshadowed what was to follow. It is about a series of offensive activities, which are not fragmentary but form part of an integrated diplomatic-political and operational plan, against which our country has shown a serious lack of foresight, diplomatic-political determination and a calculated special weight in the environment of its traditional «strategic» alliances.
The Turcolibus Memorandum, the imposition of a de facto agenda in diplomacy but and a series of arbitrary actions on the ground in the management of the Cyprus problem, as well as the straight line questioning the validity of the Treaties in the Aegean and Thrace, are not just unacceptable and reprehensible manipulations. Recommend absolutely targeted interventions that shape an entirely new situation, the result of which, on the one hand, it is not offset with any recorded positive moments that were captured during the period when the tension in the Aegean peaked, on the other hand, they should not be concerned the citizens, the staffs and the political leadership of the country, because everything indicates that developments are accelerating and our country is seriously suffering even at the level of a correct reading of the actual data.
Turkey is now entering with vigour in the context of the traditional Greek-Turkish confrontation, seeking to capitalize on the product of its chronic piracy. The Turkish-Cypriot Memorandum and the total diversion it imposed on the UN's reasoning for the management of the Cyprus problem, are not just clumsy and inappropriate actions that go beyond the diplomatic acquis. They recommend dangerous fait accompli that, if not reversed in practice, are shaping a completely different geopolitical footprint on the ground, which tends to become irreversible..
Turkey has ceased to deal independently with the issues that make up the traditional Greek-Turkish conflict and now manages them as part of its overall strategic planning, in the context of the historic role it claims in order to become a strong regional power. Greece and Cyprus are no longer treated as individual problems against which it seeks to impose a series of traditional claims, but as a single and indivisible barrier that interrupts its historical which is why it seeks their total geopolitical annihilation.
In the context of this escalation, Greece remains suffocatingly trapped in pathologies which, despite appearances, have dramatically worsened its actual position in the regional arena. The crowning act of this encirclement was and remains its adherence to the logic of parasitic protectionism. from which she has not thought of escaping, even at a time when her supposed «protectors» have shown very clearly their real intentions.
- Germany did this by provocatively abusing Turkey, in all its aggressive actions. at the expense of our country, both in the manifestation of the dishonest instrumentalization of the Migration issue and in the way it handled the very serious international challenge with the signing of the Turcolibian memorandum...
- The US is doing so in denial (despite the chatter about strategic cooperation) to declare their intention to defend the application of the Treaties and all the rules of international law, both in the Aegean and in the SE Mediterranean...
The unwillingness of our country to take a stand in nationwide terms, in the face of all the challenges that exists, is yet another extremely critical in terms of importance endemic pathogenicity. And it's really tragic, at a historical juncture when the aggressive neighbour is treating Greece and Cyprus as a single obstacle which it seeks to subjugate - satellite and ultimately its geopolitical annihilation, in Greece that the doctrine that «Cyprus is far away» continues to remain in force - even if informally -», resulting in a lack of appropriate initiatives, Neither for the beautification of the living space exercise of sovereign rights between metropolitan Greece and Cyprus, NOT for the adoption of a unified nationwide strategy of the Hellenism universe, against Turkey's aggressive revisionism.
The absence of an updated National Vision, comes to seal the destructive triangle of this timeless malady and to the extent that this situation is not reversed, this will not be a harbinger of positive developments. The Historical Rights of Hellenism, which clearly extend beyond the borders of Greece, is the central idea on which this new vision should be built. Their promotion, their decisive defence, their geopolitically functional coexistence with the historical Rights of other historical peoples of the region, could help forge a truly strategic regional alliance, with a clear identity and an absolutely energetic orientation.
It could, at the same time, be a the model of a New Big Idea, which would contribute decisively to the consolidation of the country, in the extroverted orientation of, in an overall reformulation of a different relationship with a new type of political culture, which will be fully in line with the historical challenges of the new era.
The fact of course that all these thoughts are not part of the collective reflection of the political elite and the elite of systemic strategists that are dragging the dance of gradual national drift, cannot and should not be treated as a mere management failure. It is a conscious choice that leads the country to paralysis, Greek Diplomacy to a passive administrator of fait accompli and Greek society to a culture of compromise. through the constant nibbling of its expectations and hope.
Cyprus experienced it with the desperate electoral choice to which the citizens were practically dragged and rewarded the representatives of compromise in yesterday's election.
Greece is experiencing this consistently and repeatedly, through the constant challenges that remain unanswered, with the of national pride to be systematically consumed and of course with the maintenance of the illusion of the dual track approach, where from being a tool for managing balances in the unholy alliances of our «allies», is upgraded to a suicidal doctrine that leads Greek foreign policy to a gradual and total collapse.
The historical experience however, there is to Reminds to everyone, that those who have been protagonists in the gradual national and strategic degeneration cannot be transformed into protagonists of national reconstruction. It is therefore obvious that for perhaps the first time in the post-war chronicles, the need for an inspiring group of people to take a broad political initiative that could spread optimism and restore shaken social confidence, is absolutely intertwined with the strategic viability of our country and Hellenism as a whole. If this is not initiated as a matter of urgency, the a process that could pave the way for the creation of a new strong Democratic and Patriotic current, then there is no future for this place.

The Turkish president has completed yet another karakits show after multiple threats in the Hagia Sophia... The Turkish Air Force has completed another round of provocative violations over the Aegean Sea...
But nevertheless, the government staffs find ’Mutual will for a positive agenda“, thus facilitating -with Iphigenia our country- tEuropean “partners” who are looking for the necessary pretexts to make life even easier for Turkey.
