Meeting today of the Parliament, with Prime Minister to inform political leaders about the government's handling of the coronavirus response.
The debate will take place under Article 142A of the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament and will start at 11:00. The Prime Minister's statement will be followed by those of the political leaders.
Afterwards, Mr Mitsotakis will reply, the leaders of the opposition will second the question. Al. Tsipras, of the Movement for Change Φ. Gennimata, of the KKE D. Koutsoumpas, of the Hellenic Solution Mr Velopoulos and the MP25, Yanis Varoufakis, while the debate will close with a trilogy by the Prime Minister.
Under the Rule 142A procedure, the leaders' statements are to be brief, however, given the seriousness of the issue and the evolving implementation of the strict prohibitory measures, ample time is expected to be given.
It is noted that in the present Parliament, two other sittings have been held, in accordance with the special procedure of article 142A (briefing by the Prime Minister on current affairs), and one debate before the agenda, at the request of Mrs.Gennimata.
