The approval of the operating regulations of the Sunday Bazaar of Potamos was announced on Monday afternoon by the Mayor of Kythera Mr. Efstratios Harhalakis through his personal account on FB, thanking those who contributed to this effort from the beginning, 2 years ago. Read below the Mayor's statement.
«With today's decision of the Decentralized Administration of Attica (unfortunately 2+ months after the sending of the decision by our Municipality!) the decision of the Board of Directors to vote on the Regulation of Operation of the Sunday Open Air Market (Bazaar) in Potamos was approved as LEGAL! A process we painstakingly began 2 years ago! Now, after the Rules are published, the process of supplying the stalls and handing them out to the applicants will begin, in accordance with the Rules. I would like to thank our Legal Advisors Spyros Papacharalambous and Antonis Semitekolos, the Emeritus Professor of Law Mr. Georgios Kasimatis for his substantial opinion, my colleagues and the members of the Board of Directors who supported this decision. The Bazaar is entering a new era of development, without the fear and risks that existed until now due to the absence of a clear regulatory framework for its operation.
After a reasonable period of initial implementation of the Regulation, we will examine possible problems and new improvements - interventions in cooperation with professionals and the local community.
Moving forward - solving problems!»
